Who runs this arcade
Centropy Arcade is operated by Centropy Studios at centropystudios.com/centropyarcade. This policy explains how the arcade handles information when you browse, play games, use a leaderboard, or see advertisements.
Information used by the arcade
You can browse and play without a player account. Our own activity reporting records page views, game clicks, game opens, first game interactions, supported completion events, and time with a game visible after its first interaction. It also records the page path, referring website’s domain, device category, approximate country, timestamps, and random browser and session identifiers. We do not include the referring page’s full address or its query parameters in this reporting.
A random identifier is saved in your browser, and a keyed hash of it is stored with server-side analytics and scores. These identifiers are pseudonymous: they distinguish browsers, but are not a verified identity or an exact count of people. The application does not store raw IP addresses in its analytics tables. It uses a keyed IP hash for request limits and sign-in protection. Our hosting infrastructure and third-party services may process IP addresses and standard request information for delivery and security.
Approximate country location
We use your connection’s IP address to look up an approximate country in a database stored on our server. Only the country code is saved with activity records. This lookup does not send your IP address to an external geolocation service or request your device’s precise location. A VPN, proxy, or mobile network can affect the result. The country data is supplied by DB-IP under CC BY 4.0.
Nicknames and public scores
Sharing scores is optional. When you enter a nickname and turn on “Share my scores” in the game player, the arcade can store your nickname, game, result, preset or mode, browser identifier, and submission time. Your nickname, best results, and recorded dates can appear publicly on Top Scores. Avoid entering your real name, email address, or other private information as a nickname. Turning sharing off stops future submissions; it does not remove results already submitted.
Game ratings
You can give a game one to five stars without entering a nickname. We save the game, star rating, submission time, and a keyed browser identifier so that changing your rating updates your previous vote. The public website displays only the average rating and vote count. This limits votes per browser identifier, rather than verifying a person’s identity.
Cookies and local storage
The arcade and its games use browser storage for favorites, display preferences, saved game progress, personal bests, nickname and score-sharing settings, and browser/session identifiers. A separate session cookie protects the administrator’s login. See our Cookie Policy for details and browser controls.
Google AdSense and other advertising providers
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and other third-party advertising providers may place or read cookies, use web beacons, and process identifiers, IP addresses, and ad interaction information. Advertising cookies can allow Google and its partners to personalize ads using previous visits to this website and other websites. The ad providers that participate can vary by advertisement, location, and consent choices.
You can manage Google’s personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center ↗. You can also visit the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out tool ↗ for choices offered by participating third-party companies. These settings do not necessarily remove advertisements.
Read Google’s Privacy Policy ↗ and how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services ↗. Advertising providers handle information under their own policies. Where an advertising consent message is available, use its controls to make or change your choices.
Other services and links
The website and some games may request fonts from Google Fonts or load libraries from third-party content delivery services. Those services receive the request information needed to deliver the resource. Creator, source-code, and advertising links take you to external websites with their own privacy practices. The games’ original credits and licenses are listed on our Creators & licenses page.
Why we use information and who can access it
We use the information to operate games and leaderboards, understand arcade usage, improve the catalog, moderate results, protect the site, and support advertising. Public leaderboard information is visible to visitors. Detailed arcade analytics, security records, and administrative advertising reports are restricted to the site administrator. Hosting and advertising providers process information to supply their services.
Administrative AdSense or AdMob reporting connections, when authorized by the owner, are used to retrieve advertising reports. Google OAuth credentials and tokens are stored encrypted outside the public website. A visitor does not need to connect a Google account to play.
Retention and your choices
Browser preferences and saved games remain until they are changed, overwritten, or cleared. Server-side activity records and leaderboard results currently remain until removed by the operator; there is no automatic deletion schedule. Administrative sessions expire after inactivity, although security and audit records can remain.
You can stop sharing new scores in the game player, clear browser storage, block or delete cookies through your browser, and manage advertising preferences using the links above. Clearing browser data does not erase information already stored on the server and may remove your favorites, saved progress, and personal bests. Privacy rights and the available request processes can depend on where you live.
Children’s information
No player account is required. Children should use an appropriate nickname and avoid submitting identifying information. Parents and guardians should supervise public score sharing and use their browser or device’s privacy controls.
